Anderson, Sutherland propel Colts to Game 2 victory

DIDSBURY – Colton Anderson and Cole Sutherland combined for 10 points as the Mountainview Colts rebounded with a convincing 8-1 win over the Blackfalds Wranglers on Saturday night, evening up their best-of-seven North Division semifinal series at 1-1.

Sutherland finished with two goals and three assists, while Anderson added a goal and four helpers as the Colts held leads of 3-1 after 20 minutes and 7-1 going into the final frame.

Josh Gette and Evan Ingram each scored once and setup another, while Wyatt Gelinas, Ryan Klinck and Mitchell Visser rounded out the scoring with singles.

Thomas Della Siega stopped 22-of-23 shots fired his way in the Mountainview crease.

Loclyn Kabatoff scored the lone goal for the Wranglers, which got a combined 38 saves from Lane Brann and Rylan Bardick.

Game 3 of the series goes Sunday in Blackfalds. Puck drop is slated for 3:30pm.
