Ingram's five points propel Colts to series win

DIDSBURY – Evan Ingram factored in on all five goals as the Mountainview Colts punched their ticket to the North Division final with a 5-2 win over the Blackfalds Wranglers in Game 5 on Wednesday.

Ingram scored three times and setup two more as the Colts erased a 1-0 series deficit with four straight victories.

Cole Sutherland had a goal and two helpers for the Colts, which got 30 saves from goaltender Thomas Della Siega. Colton Anderson rounded out the scoring with his fourth of the post-season.

Ryan Chambers and Brenden Davidson tallied for the Wranglers, which held a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes.

The two teams entered the third period deadlocked at 2-2. Ingram pulled the Colts out in front 2:35 into the frame, while Sutherland added a power-play marker with 4:35 remaining. Ingram completed the hat trick with an empty-netter in the final minute.

Rylan Bardick turned aside 41 shots in the Wranglers’ crease.

The Colts will now face the Red Deer Vipers in the best-of-seven North Division finals.
