RED DEER – Six unanswered goals propelled the Red Deer Vipers to a come-from-behind 6-4 Game 2 victory over the Mountainview Colts on Friday evening, evening up their best-of-seven North Division final series at 1-1.

The Vipers trailed 4-0 just past the halfway mark of the second period, however Logan Linnell would add a pair of markers before the frame was out to cut the lead to 4-2 after 40 minutes. Linnell also added two assists on the night.

Kale Lapointe had himself a four-point night with a goal and three assists, while Spencer Yeats chipped in with a goal and assist.

Yeats and Lapointe each found the back of the net to even the score at fours, while Declan Johnston tallied the go-ahead goal with 3:57 remaining.

Mack Differenz added an insurance marker with less than two minutes to go.

Brenden Bilodeau stopped all 14 shots he faced in 34:59 of relief work in the Red Deer crease.

Evan Ingram and Mitchell Visser each finished with a goal and assist for the Colts, while Tyson Schmidt and Colton Anderson added singles.

Thomas Della Siega turned aside 32 shots in goal for Mountainview.

Game 3 of the series goes Saturday night at the Didsbury Recreation Centre. Puck drop is slated for 8:00pm.
