DIDSBURY – A pair of goals from Austin Pedersen paced the Mountainview Colts to a 6-3 win over the Red Deer Vipers on Saturday evening, giving them a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven North Division final.
Colton Anderson, Evan Ingram, Cole Sutherland and Mitchell Visser each finished with a goal and assist to round out the offence for the Colts, which held leads of 2-0 after one period and 4-2 after 40 minutes.
Thomas Della Siega made 30 saves between the pipes for Mountainview, while his counterpart Branden Bilodeau turned aside 33 shots in the Red Deer crease.
Brett Hoppus, Bailey Lawson and Spencer Yeats tallied for the Vipers.
Game 4 is slated for 8:00pm Tuesday evening at the Collicutt Centre in Red Deer.
