Yeats, Vipers force Game 7

RED DEER – Game 7. Here we come.

Spencer Yeats found the back of the net three times as the Red Deer Vipers rolled to a 7-1 win over the Mountainview Colts on Friday evening, evening their best-of-seven series at three games apiece.

Yeats also added an assist to finish with a game-high four points, while Logan Linnell, Dalton Angeltevdt, Bailey Lawson and Damien Chopek rounded out the Vipers scoring, each adding a single.

Branden Bilodeau turned aside 26 shots between the pipes for Red Deer, which held leads of 2-0 after 20 minutes and 3-1 going into the final frame, where they would tack on four more.

Alan Klinck provided the lone goal for the Colts, which got 27 saves from Thomas Della Siega.

Game 7 of the series goes Saturday night at the Didsbury Recreation Complex. Puck drop is slated for 8:00pm.
