The Cochrane Generals can book their ticket to the 2017 Keystone Cup with a win on Sunday.
Thanks to a three-goal night from Corey Goeson, the Generals defeated the CBHA Rangers by an 8-3 score in the Alberta Junior B Provincial semifinals on Saturday night to setup a date with the Wainwright Bisons on Sunday.
Puck drop in the Championship Game goes at 2:00pm from Clancy Richard Arena in St. Paul.
Brandon Aab, Joey Stensland, Brett Hamer, Slater Ransom and Connor Rendell rounded out the scoring for Cochrane, which got 25 saves from goaltender Ryan Simpson.
The Generals defeated the Bisons earlier on Saturday by a 4-3 score to close out the round robin.
Meanwhile, the HJHL Champion Red Deer Vipers were edged by the Rangers 3-2 as they finished off the round robin with a 1-2-0 record.
