The Westside Warriors scored 2 goals early in the first period and never looked back as they took control of the game early. Max French jumped on a rebound to start the scoring at 6:58. Older brother Tyler French then scored unassisted at 8:29. Grayson Downing and Tyler Brickler scored to wrap up the first period.
The second continued much like the first, as Tom Kroshus scored 2 power play goal at 5:56 and 8:20 to make it 6-0. Quesnel found a glimmer of hope as Rigby Burgart (5) scored from five feet in front of the net, as he was fed a beautiful pass from the boards by Chris Blessing at 17:55. Thomas Hardy also picked up an assist on the play. The Warriors scored another power play goal before the period ended as Quinn Gould scored at 19:23 to make it 7-1.
Westside made it 8-1 at 7:55 of the third on a goal by Brett McKinnon. Quesnel second goal of the game, came as Spencer Graboski drove the net, and the rebound was at the side of the net, and Taylor Orser passed out to Chris Kerr (7) who had the wide open cage at 12:41 to complete the scoring.
Westside went 3-5 on the power play, while Quesnel was 1-5. Quesnel meets Penticton Saturday night at 7:30.
