The Quesnel Millionaires were out scored 5-1 in the first period as the Penticton Vees went on to a n 8-4 win. The Vees got goals from Carter Rigby, Myles McCauley, Curtis Loik, and Kyle Mountain before Quesnel started to respond. Thomas Hardy (6) found a rebound that he jammed into the net at 12:14 unassisted. The four goal lead was restored by Brendan O'Donnell at 15:01 of the first period on the power play.
Quesnel opened the scoring in the second as Derek Huisman (13) gobbled up a loose puck and found the back of the net on the power play with the assist going to Stefan Gonzales. The Vees restored the 4 goal lead at 8:51 with O'Donnell scoring his sedond of the night. Quesnel kept coming scoring two goals in a span of just under 40 seconds and it was 6-4. Skyler Smutek (8) scored from the right face off dot at 12:56 on the power play with assists going to Chris Blessing and Derek Huisman. Shawn Mueller (10) then scored at 13:33 from Chris Allbee and Thomas Hardy.
The Vees finished the scoring with a pair of goals in the third, from Garrett Milan and O'Donnell with his third of the night. Quesnel faces Westside Sunday evening at 5 o'clock before finishing up the regular season with 3 games on the road next weekend.
